We employ experienced, fully licensed clinicians. Our team maintains a low resident-to-staff ratio to ensure personalized support and authentic connections.

No ethical treatment provider can guarantee a “cure” or specific results. However, when families follow treatment recommendations, it can significantly decrease the likelihood of readmission and support long-term healing for both the teen and the family.

Our trained team is vigilant about how unhealthy behaviors can emerge and spread in a residential setting. We have implemented safeguards at every level, with group leaders specifically trained to recognize, intervene in, and redirect any harmful behaviors or communications to promote a positive, healing environment.

Yes, you will be able to contact your child. Families are integral to the healing process, and we facilitate open communication, including weekly family sessions and ongoing support.

Yes, we can share updates with external counselors, doctors, or schools, provided we have a signed Release of Information from the family.

No, teens can remain enrolled in their current school or opt into our partnered educational program. Dedicated time is allocated each day for academic work to ensure they continue progressing in their education.

We welcome teens facing non-substance-related challenges like non-suicidal self-injury (NSSI) and suicidal ideation (SI). Please call to confirm your teen’s fit for our program. Our team includes members trained in trauma-informed care to support those experiencing self-injurious behaviors and suicidal thoughts.

Each teen’s treatment is tailored to their unique needs, avoiding a one-size-fits-all approach. We incorporate a variety of evidence-based models, including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) for emotional regulation, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for thought patterns, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) for trauma processing. While DBT is effective for many, we select modalities based on what best suits the individual.

While at Orama, teens will have limited access to technology to focus on their healing and interpersonal connections.

The duration varies based on each teen’s unique path to wellness, so we cannot specify a fixed timeline. Orama offers residential treatment for up to 90 days, with the goal of building skills that last beyond the stay.

While Orama provides a secure environment with camera and team member monitoring 24 hrs a day, we are not a lockdown facility.
